'Salida del Sol en Paraiso' means 'Sunrise in Paradise' in Spanish. This is a sunrise from Summerland beach near Santa Barbara looking south toward Loon Point. I love painting beaches, especially as the tide is going out because of the amazing reflections that the wet sand and very shallow water retreating off the beach display of the sky and surrounding cliffs. This was a commissioned piece.
