Every morning when I step outside, I say outloud, "Another beautiful day in Paradise!". I believe gratitude is an important part of being humble and alive. I truly do feel that I live in paradise here in Santa Barbara. 'Path in Paradise' is a view along our beach side drive, Cabrillo Blvd. There is a bike path that goes all along there among the palms trees, between the street and the sand. The coast curves back southward just to the east of Santa Barbara, so we are looking at the coastal mountain range in this painting looking east.
